Y-E-L-L. Everybody YELL!

Oct 22nd, 2018

Mobile is proud to host the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) Southern Super Regional Cheer Competition on Wednesday, November 7th, beginning at 10 AM in the Mobile Civic Center arena.  The Super Regional's are open to all AHSAA member schools and will draw competitive cheer squads from middle school to varsity, including coed teams - all competing for a spot in the state competition.

The AHSAA is working with Varsity Spirit to sponsor a non-biased, professional event.

Squads will perform and be judged by two routines: Traditional (cheer/gymnastics with optional music) and Game Day (chants, crowd-leading cheers, stunts, tumbling, and/or jumps, ending with school fight song).

To qualify for the Alabama State Championship, being held at Wallace State Community College in Hanceville on Saturday, December 15, teams must attend their Super Regional and score at least 70% on the total score sheet.

The competition is open to the public.  For more information, please visit the AHSAA website http://www.ahsaa.com/Sports/Cheer.
