West Mobile County Park to Host Senior Softball-USA National Qualifier

Mar 24th, 2015

MOBILE, Ala. - The Mobile Sports Authority is excited to welcome Senior Softball-USA (SSUSA) to Mobile this upcoming weekend, March 28-29, for the 2015 Mobile Tournament of Champions National Qualifier. The two-day event will be held at West Mobile County Park.

This year’s national qualifier is set to bring in approximately 20-25 teams from Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina to Mobile. The regional tournament is for 50+ year old men’s teams located in SSUSA’s Southeast region and gives teams an opportunity to earn berths to the Southern Championships and the SSUSA Tournament of Champions which is held in Polk County, Florida.

The Mobile area is no stranger to SSUSA. The City and County hosted the prestigious 2003 SSUSA World Championships in October 2003, as well as the 2013 and 2014 Spring National Tournament of Champions Qualifiers in May in each of those years.
