23rd Annual Mobile Challenge of Champions Track & Field Meet this Weekend

MOBILE, Ala. - The 23rd Annual Mobile Challenge of Champions presented by the Mobile Sports Authority is set to kick off its track and field portion of the yearly event this weekend, April 3-4. The two-day high school meet will be held once again at UMS-Wright Preparatory School and St. Paul’s Episcopal School in Mobile.  

The Mobile Challenge of Champions is held in two parts on an annual basis with track and field featured in April and cross country happening in September. According to the National Scholastic Athletic Foundation, April’s meet is among the top 5 most prestigious high school track and field invitationals nationwide, while September’s cross country race is also among the nation’s top high school competitions. An estimated 3,000 participants take part in the two-part event that brings in more than 4,000 visitors to Mobile annually.   

Friday’s Open Division will take place at UMS-Wright beginning at 3 p.m. CDT while Saturday’s Invitational Division is slated to start 12 noon at St. Paul’s Episcopal. To view the complete schedule, please visit www.mobilechallengeofchampions.net.
