Marketing & Sports Events Director
Jill Beard assumed the role of Director of Marketing & Events for the
Mobile Sports Authority in August 2018. Her role focuses on planning and
implementing sports event focused marketing and development initiatives, both
short and long term, targeted toward existing and new markets, bringing economically
impactful sporting events to the Mobile County area.
Growing up in rural Coffee
County Alabama, athletic events consisted of Friday night lights, school field-day
races and her church’s co-ed softball team.
Given the opportunity, Jill would have participated year-round in
anything sports-related. A natural competitor,
she thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand opportunities for
more diverse community sporting events.
Prior to joining Mobile Sports
Authority, Jill worked in strategic business development and marketing for both
national corporations and local companies.
Most recently, Jill utilized her creative strengths and leadership
skills as she directed events for the American Cancer Society.
Jill holds a Public Relations
degree from The University of Alabama College of Communication. She and her husband Kerry are the proud
parents of Tyler, Kade and Kali. In her
free time, Jill enjoys reading, painting, refurbishing furniture, and watching college
football – especially the Crimson Tide!
