Spartan Race Coming to Saraland in October

Boston, MAReebok Spartan Race, the world’s premier obstacle race series, in partnership with the Mobile Sports Authority and the City of Saraland, today announced the first-ever Spartan Race to take place in Alabama – the Saraland Super – which is set for October 17, 2015.

“As our first-ever race in the great state of Alabama, the Saraland Super offers various terrains that will challenge our athletes and push them to new limits to find out what they’re really capable of,” said Reebok Spartan Race CEO and Founder Joe DeSena. “We’re thrilled to rise to the occasion and partner with Mobile Sports Authority and the City of Saraland to offer residents and visitors alike the first-ever obstacle racing experience in Alabama. It’s time to awaken, energize, and challenge the people of Alabama, Spartan is coming!”  

The Saraland Super course will be laid over varying landscapes that will take racers through swampy bogs, prairie lands and heavily wooded forests as they crawl, climb and run through obstacles designed to push them to their limits. There will be three heats during the race, an elite group, a morning group, and an afternoon group.
