Mobile Sports Authority to Co-Host 7th Annual Sports Authority Intercollegiate Golf Tournament with the University of South Alabama

MOBILE, AL. - The Mobile Sports Authority, in conjunction with the University of South Alabama's Men's Golf Program, will host the 7th Annual Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate Men's Golf Tournament at the Magnolia Grove Crossing Golf Course in Mobile February 22-23, 2016.  

Teams and Individuals will compete with a shot-gun start at 8:30 AM on Monday morning, February 22nd. Final round tee-times will begin at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, February 23rd, with the closing awards ceremony slated to begin at 3 PM at the course. The tournament is open and free to all spectators.  

The Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate Men's Golf Tournament is a 54-hole national golf tournament that features top university teams from several major conferences across the country. Some of the conferences represented are the SEC, Big 10, MAC, American, Conference USA, Sun Belt, and more.  This tournament has become very popular over the years serving as a great way for these top-ranked teams to kick-off the start of their competitive spring season.
 

With #1-ranked Auburn and #2-ranked Wake Forest among the competition, teams from around the nation come to sharpen their skills while competing against the best of the best. "We are very excited about the strong field assembled at this year's Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate" said University of South Alabama's Men's Golf Coach, Ben Hannan. "Having the #1 and #2 ranked teams in the country participating says a lot about the success and strength of the event. It's a great opportunity for the public to come watch tomorrow's future PGA Tour stars."  

Danny Corte, Executive Director of the Mobile Sports Authority added, "The Mobile Sports Authority has enthusiastically supported USA Golf Coach Ben Hannan and this tournament for the past several years as he has built this event up to the quality it is today based on the simple fact that the top two nationally-ranked teams are competing for the first time ever in this tournament.  We're very proud to be a partner of Coach Hannan and his program."
