Hamilton, NJ - In less than a year, Mobile, Alabama will roll out the red carpet to welcome the country's top 16-18-year-old talent for the 2019 Babe Ruth Baseball World Series. The playing dates of the World Series are August 2-9, with the teams slated to arrive in town on July 31.

The Babe Ruth League World Series, one of the largest youth sporting events in the country, will draw huge crowds from across the U.S. and meet a variety of economic goals and community involvement.  As the host community, Mobile will select its own 16-18-year-old squad to compete in the event that will also include eight regional champions from across the country, as well as the Alabama Babe Ruth 16-18 State Champion. The competition will begin with pool play before advancing to a single elimination bracket that will determine the World Series champion.

Negotiations are being finalized to play all games on Jacobs Field at the University of Mobile.  Jacobs Field is named for Alabama Baseball Coaches Hall of Famer Mike Jacobs, who founded and still leads the University of Mobile Rams Baseball Program. This immaculate baseball complex has 588 permanent seats, electronic scoreboard, press box, coach's office, concession stand and bathrooms, home & visitors bull pens, and the J.C. Romero Hitting Facility. In the fieldhouse, you will find home team locker rooms and a lounging area.
