The 3rd Annual Gulf Coast Challenge
follows the success of the past two years pitting teams from two Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s). The 2020 game will feature the Morehouse College Maroon Tigers hosting the Miles College Golden Bears in a Southwest Athletic Conference vs. Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association showdown. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 PM. This
will be only the seventh time in their more than 100
years playing football the two universities have met on the football
field with the series tied up at three.
Tailgating is slated to begin the morning of game day leading up to the 5 PM kickoff. The game will be preceded by a week of festivities that include a Kickoff Party in the Park, College and Career Fair, Pep Rally, and the GCC Parade. There will also be events for alumni and dignitaries.
