The 2nd Annual Gulf Coast Challenge follows the success of the 2018 football game pitting teams from two Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s).  The 2019 game will feature the Alabama A&M University Bulldogs hosting the Central State University Marauders in a Southwest Athletic Conference vs. Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association showdown. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 PM. This will be the seventh time Alabama A&M and Central State University, based in Wilberforce, Ohio have played with Alabama A&M holding a 3-2-1 record.  

Tailgating is slated to begin the morning of game day leading up to the 6 PM kickoff. The game will be preceded by a week of festivities that include a Kickoff Party in the Park, College and Career Fair, Pep Rally, and the GCC Parade. There will also be events for alumni and dignitaries.
